student affairs

Welcome to the Division of Student Affairs Web Site!

At Belmont, we know you're looking for more in your college experience than tests and textbooks, pencils and pop-quizzes. You're looking for meaningful lessons, memorable experiences and relationships that will last a lifetime. You want to learn more than how to make a living; you want to know how to make a life. The professional and student staff of the Student Affairs Division are pleased to help you get all you hope for out of your time at Belmont.

Our people and programs are dedicated to making your experience at the university exceptional, one that engages you personally and meaningfully and one that expands your education beyond the classroom and even the campus itself. We provide the experiences and relationships that make your college experience something special, something that will support and sustain you for the rest of your life.

You'll find that our commitment to you is both professional and personal. We've created 'formal' programs and events that help you connect with your peers, discover your calling, refine your leadership skills, practice what you've learned, serve the community, and just plain have a great time, but in addition to this, you'll find us equally interested in connecting informally - playing a game of racquetball, hanging out in the lobby, or sharing a cup of coffee and a good conversation when you need it most. We're committed to knowing you personally and to helping you achieve your own personal and professional aspirations.

The links on this page will introduce you to some of our personnel and programs. Feel free to explore them at your convenience, and then give us a call or drop us an e-mail with any interests and questions they prompt.

Sincerely,
Dr. Andrew Johnston
Dean of Students
